Hi, my name is Lindsey de los Santos.
I am a patient advocate, migraine researcher, and writer. I have lived with migraine for over 30 years and have felt the desperation to find what works as this debilitating disease has impacted every area of my life. I have seen many live with the challenges of this disease. This includes family and friends. You could say this is a work of the heart.
I strive to help others living with migraine know that they are not alone and to find resources to help them live the life they feel called to live. My hope is to help people find what works with less pain and time so that more good days are added to their calendars. It's time to live!
I started my website migraineroad.com to support others living with migraine and provide resources for those who wanted to learn more. This website connected me with people all over the world. This compelled me even more to make a difference in the migraine space.
I have had the honor of being interviewed by Self and Prevention magazines, as well as, GoodRx. I have joined forces with The American Migraine Foundation and Miles for Migraine and have completed both their training programs for patient advocacy. It was also an honor to have been on The American Migraine Foundation's State of the Union Address panel. I have been a contract writer for the Association of Migraine Disorders as well.
These experiences make me a passionate patient advocate who wants to help and support others. I am grateful for this privilege.
Why Holistic Migraine?
I know the challenge and pain of feeling like you have tried everything and you may have reached the end of the road. I know how migraine affects every area of your life and being down with an attack interrupts everything you want and need to do.
After trying a very long list of medications and doing all the things I could to help my migraine life and that of my family's, I found a better way. A holistic treatment plan has provided so many more tools in my toolkit. I no longer fear the next attack or worry that the first sign of a migraine attack will take me out of commission.
Instead, I have first lines of defense that often abort an attack. That's right! Instead of the pain rapidly taking over, I have resources to defeat it. That said, I still take preventative and rescue medications. I still have migraine attacks, but I also have hope and freedom.
I have tried to live with the mantra that "There is always hope". However, the hard seasons make that a difficult belief to maintain. That is why I am so passionate about helping others. While each person has their own story, I can relate to you as another person living with this disease. I want the best for you.
The Holistic Migraine Course was created with the idea that I could bring more hope to others. I could share what I had learned through advocacy training, migraine classes, and personal experience of living with migraine for over 30 years. This course was designed for you. I am here to support!
I wish you the best friends. I am on this journey with you and am excited for you to have a greater hope, more information, and tools to improve your migraine life. Then you can say, this is a life to love! We should all get to love the life we live!
